Bitcoin faucets – what they are and why they offer free bitcoins
As mentioned earlier, bitcoin faucets are those websites that provide you Satoshis in exchange for clicks. A Satoshi is the smallest unit of bitcoin and is equal to only 100th of a millionth BTC. Some faucets may offer as low as 100 Satoshis, while a rare few may offer up to 10,000 Satoshis. Upon visiting a bitcoin faucet, you will see a captcha API on the site in which you just have to enter the characters and then click on the button to “Claim” your free bitcoins.
You might be wondering why these websites are providing free bitcoins just for clicks. Yes, they’re doing it for their benefit. There are numerous ads splattered across these bitcoin faucets. So they try to attract more and more visitors in an attempt to get more clicks on those ads. With each click, they also earn a certain amount of money. Considering the time and effort you have to put in, bitcoin faucets may not really be a quick and easy way to save money.
